Thinking About Your Fitness Blue Print

Family Support and Conquering the Stress of Competition

Everybody wants to be the best! 💪 Everybody wants the shiny golden apple at the top of the tree! Everybody wants to be No.1, but nobody seems to want to pout in the effort to be the best…once they realise how hard and how consistent they have to be.

And this applies to the top business men and women, the top athletes, the top performers in their respected work place, the best and trusted family members, the most intelligent people…

There might be some who consider them “gifted” yes, but I can guarantee you they put in a lot of work to get there!

Remember this lesson if you remember nothing else: Perception isn’t always truth!!!

People outside of, or even complete detachment from sport; and the people who spend their time around people who make judgements based on others opinions and NOT knowledge, do not seem to know or appreciate the level of consistent effort that people and the ‘Athlete Level’ put in.

This is what I mean when I said ‘Perception isn’t always truth!’

The same thing is to be said with some millionaires, billionaires, “talented” Head Chefs, or any other highly skilled people . . .

People don’t always post their entire training on the internet for you to see. A lot of these highly skilled people do their work off camera, behind the scenes! 🎬

You really think they record all their training for the global audience on the internet?

They owe us NOTHING! Sometimes when… and we all know someone or of someone who is like this… they will get angry or upset and think that they deserve to know why athletes and highly skilled and successful people haven’t “told them.”

Sketch from ‘Easy Drawing Guides’

So, what’s the point of this? What am I getting at?🤔

The point is, when you, or I or anyone else decide to fully commit to something, in this example, a gym transformation, we don’t need to post all of our journey on the internet, you are allowed to keep it to yourself and your close family circle, until the end when the results are starting to be noticed and it becomes obvious! ‘

Now, if you are wanting to inspire someone, may be record and display your progress and certain points, but not all the time. Or, if you’re undergoing a massive transformation, a very difficult one…… then may be record your journey to inspire a whole population of people, because that is ‘Ground Breaking! There are certain circumstances, but not everyone needs to do this.

Think about the effort that takes just to record every part of your journey…?

We all have our lives to live and organize and progress through. Sometimes it can be unsustainable for long periods of time. Now, if you have family member, friend, or a team member to support you doing this then it makes it a lot easier.

Having your family support you in your household is just as important, if not the most important, because having those in your household support for you, help you prep your meals, be understanding of your goals and stress your under. . . it goes a hell of a long way to your success, but also, in turn, provides for them a better life!

(Here’s a recording that I think might help.)

It’s not easy training for an event or competition, when the stakes are high, and by the way, this is relative to the person. No goal has to be the same.

However, the way in which you achieve your goals have a very similar structure and similar elements to it:

  1. Cardio Training

  2. Strength Training

  3. Technique Training

  4. Recovery - Sleep/Rest/Nutrition/Hydration

  5. A Structured Plan

  6. The ‘Follow-Through’

  7. Envisioning your Goals

  8. A Supportive Environment (i.e. family, friends, gym, etc.)

  9. Moving your Goals (i.e. when you get close to achieving the first one)

All of these elements play a major role in you achieving your goals and becoming a stronger, more energetic and vibrant you!

But if you are new to building a plan of detail, it’s best to start with one thing . . . . . .

This one thing is simple, just START!

Go to the gym and just focus on that one session, and start by doing something you think you’ll enjoy!

This depends on what you think, your beliefs, values, and what looks cool to ‘you.’ What have you seen your friends do that you think you can manage on your own?

And start there! Get a ‘feel’ for these exercises and cardio equipment.

Most people start with cardio equipment because it comes easy to us humans, and lifting weights is a bit more technical, which is one of the key reasons why people who are new to the gym get a bit nervous and worry 😳 what people might think.

Here is some material that might help your progress in the gym. You may use them as a guide and take them to the gym with you on your smartphone.
