The Art of Knowing One's Self
Self Reflection is the art of knowing one’s self to the fullest extent.
Once you master this, the rest will follow.
Awareness, specifically self-awareness, informs how well you perform, not just in exercise, but in life!
This is why tracking your exercise is important - it’s part of a much bigger process of getting to know your own flaws, strengths, opportunities, and boundaries.
When you track your exercise, you should reflect on your last session, and use your tracker as ‘the notes’ to your reflection - ‘could I have performed that squat better?’ Could I have been faster in my sprint?’ Could I have performed that movement with my current level of flexibility or mobility?’
Then make adjustments accordingly.
This is the type of true Self-Reflection that helps you grow, so you can get to know yourself - what you’re capable of, and where your limits are.
Not just tracking your exercise to monitor your current state and your progress, but taking the necessary ‘Real-Time’ action at the back of that reflection - it’s the only way you’ll grow and get to know your TRUE SELF.
