A QUITTER NEVER WINS, AND A WINNER NEVER QUITS

FEELING MEANS SH***

One of my older project pictures to help encourage people.

Hi everyone!

Let’s kick things off the some, potentially hard truths . . .

  1. Motivation Is Not What You Want . . .

  2. How Does This Translate Into Your Fitness Goals?

  3. Pain

  4. Discipline Gets A Bad Rep . . .

Motivation Is Not What You Want . . .

Today (the time I first started to daft this article), I’m just not feeling it, I’m tired and quite frankly, I’ve got a bit of a headache. And this is the point . . .

When you’re not “feeling like it,” and when you rely on these feelings to get things done they betray you, because motivation and “feelings” are fleeting at best.

When it comes to you achieving what you want out of fitness, the relationships with the people you desire, that car you want to drive, everything; you need to have something more than just “motivation.”

Don’t rely on motivation and the moments when you “feeling like doing it” to get you to the body you want - it won’t work long term.

How Does This Translate Into Your Fitness Goals?

Think about this:

You’re setting a BIG Goal for the body you want to sculpt, and you have this perfect image of yourself when you have reached your goal.

Are you with me so far? Good.

Now, what does that person look like?

If you were asked, could you describe that person? Your vision?

Are they toned?

Have well defined muscles?

Are you healthy?

What does that look like?

Pain

The vison you have for yourself can be a massive driver behind you following your plan. But your other driver can be pain.

What pain did you experience that pushed you to want to be fitter and more defined? Was it being bullied about your weight? Was it looking in the mirror and not liking what you saw?

There are many different pain drivers that could have pushed you one step over the edge.

And now I want you to remember that type of pain every single time you go to the gym. It will help you fulfil that promise you made to yourself that you’re going to be fitter, more energised, and healthier.

Pain f***ing hurts! But it can be one of the biggest drivers for you to be consistent enough to accomplish your goal.

Find your pain point.

Discipline Gets A Bad Rep . . .

Discipline is Freedom

- Will Smith

It’s freedom because you realise how much time you have, and this can be painful for some people to admit, because for some of those people it means admitting that they’ve been wasting their time.

It also could mean that they have to admit they were wrong, which nobody likes to do.

If you look at it the right way, you should be excited! Now knowing you have all this time you weren’t aware of before.

All this time you have to finally get those tasks done, and projects completed.

So the question beckons, ‘What on earth was I doing with my time before?

DEVELOP PERSISTENCE, because ‘a Quitter Never Wins, and a Winner Never Quits’ - remember this, and it will serve you.

1  Motivation only lasts so long. Even though discipline has gotten such a bad rep, it still overtakes ‘motivation’ any and every day of the week. It feeds into every plan you have, because it is necessary for you to realise and accomplish you goals, not just ones involving fitness, but you could want to buy a new house, a new car; you may want to learn a new skill, or get paid a higher wage. Discipline is a necessary skill for you to do all of this, and have live a successful life.
