FITNESS AND NUTRITION:
A 'RE-HASH'
Hi everyone!
Today, I wanted to talk to you about Nutrition and Fitness together - and for those of you who have been with me for a while, this will be a ‘re-hash’ for you.
Zinc - needed for countless metabolic processes in the body, including protein production (for your immune system), skin & eye health, and bone and joint metabolism.
Selenium - needed for the replenishment of our very own antioxidant, glutathione. Its also needed for eye & skin health, and liver metabolism.
Calcium - needed for bone & joint health, neuromuscular activation, healthy blood pressure, and it’s involved in stomach acid production.
Now for the fitness!
For optimal performance, or even just to perform your fitness activities at a moderately decent level, you need PERSISTENCE, AWARENESS, NUTRITION, HYDRATION, and SLEEP!
Fitness also takes careful planning and DEFINITENESS of DECISION. You must make a decision about what it is you want from your exercise regimen - what goal, body shape, level of performance, are you trying to reach?
Most people I’ve met in the gym, have not reached a definiteness of decision about what outcome they really want from their efforts, don’t be one of these people. As professionals, we can help you finish the picture you’re painting, but you’re the one holding the brush.
And finally, you must carefully plan your sessions so that you are targeting all of the areas of your body, spread out through the week.
Allow plenty of rest, and target your muscles in a way that aligns with your performance goals, such as endurance, strength, etc.
Don’t be afraid to fail, it’s how you learn!
