Fitness Is Important...
But It's Not The 'Be All End All'
What People Think About Fitness Related To Health
Fitness is a component of health, but it isn’t the determining factor of health . . .
When people think ‘Health & Fitness’ a lot of the time they misunderstand fitness being a part of health - they think it determines your health, when in fact, it doesn’t. Now, this is hard not to think this way, simply because of all the media and advertising we’ve been exposed to over the past however many decades; we also hear this concept from family members a lot: ‘oh he’s slim, she looks like she has good skin, they must be fit and healthy.’
And yet, 5, 7, 10 years later they develop multiple symptoms of some disease or another, and then the family will say: ‘oh, what happened? they were so fit and healthy!’ At which another family member will reply with: ‘eee I know, well, you can never tell what’ll happen can you?’
These are the same people that will go on through their lives thinking that things just “happen” to them, and completely misunderstanding what truly happened to their loved ones; and missing out the ‘HEALTH’ part of the equation.
Other Factors To Consider
There are many aspects to health such as, sleep, nutrition, food (not the same as nutrition), fitness, hydration, mobility, stress levels, eustress (fulfilment), and having excellent relationships with the people important to them.
Fitness is used to support your health, yes, but as you see, it is only one slice of the ‘pie'.’ (🥧) (‘Pie has me thinking about food!) . . . .
Realizing The Scope 🔭 . . .
So what’s my point in saying all this?
My point is that when you go to a gym or a leisure facility to work out you need to make sure you are going to improve your fitness performance, yes, but also for a greater purpose of improving your health, so in a flow chart your fitness might be at the start, but when you go home, the next step would be recovery.

The recovery would entail: rest, nutrition (supplementation - a shortlist of companies I trust will be place below), food in the amount of calories that align with your goals, hydration in the correct amount of litres for your current exercise and bodyweight needs, stretching or sports massage, and sleep! And YES, it always comes back to that! (😴).
You gotta think of the FULL picture!
