The "Fire Hose" Effect

Part V

The Fire Hose Effect (Part V)

Most of us who think and reflect upon our own GI tracts are usually people who have had to, right? I mean, why else would you think about your own stomach and intestines? It’s not exactly an average thought. So what caused that pain? That upset? What made think ‘'you know today I really have to start eating “healthy”’ I mean… what does “eating healthy” even mean to people? Does it mean eliminating sugar? Does it mean cutting out those burgers and pizzas? Or does it mean, you need to eat more “balanced”, …

“Balanced”? What does balanced mean? I don’t like this term, because people will make excuses as to what they trade their healthy options for, and what THEY cosider balanced. “Balanced” is such a broad term, and what you’ll find is that some people will use it wisely and smartly, and others, …well they will use it for their leverage to eat unhealthy foods…

Now I want to talk for a minute, about “the bitch voice”, why? because “the bitch voice” is so relevant to this conversation, and how many peoeple actually let their bitch voice in so they can eat those pizzas, burgers and dairy milk bars? Quite a lot, in fact, almost every single person I’ve ever met, with the exception of one may be two people. And what should intrigue you is that the majority of your circle won’t even be aware that they have this voice inside them, it takes a lot of awareness and will to tell your own bitch voice to f**k off.

Being “balanced” is to broad a term to give people any guidance and this can harm you and hinder your progress (trust me, I speak from experience). Even if you don’t gain much weight it can put a cap on your energy levels and you will start to full sluggish, “heavy”, may be some weird tingling in the feet or limbs, and you will eventually start to full “unhealthy” if this is prolonged…I mean, I’ve felt “heavy” after eating a large plate of fish and chips! And as tasty as they were, my energy went way down! But there’s something else going on here that you’ve probably already touched on, and that’s eating too much during a sitting. It might be too common to say, but it is a thing to watch out for.

And when you eat harmful foods for too long this elongated tube called the GI tract that runs through your entire body, can become inflammed and damaged,….but perhaps, not beyond repair…

The Fire Hose Effect

I mentioned about the 12 BAD FOODS right at the beginning of this digestive mini series, and how they can harm your body, your cells, etc. That comes from the foods we consume OR the lack of foods we consume depending on your (throat clearing) “Balance”. If you follow the doctors advice and eliminate or reduce salt (sodium and chlori. e) you increase the risk of developing malnutrition because salt contains the minerals needed to make stomach acid, and when you have reduced stomach acid your ability to break down carbs, fats and proteins becomes difficult, and you belch, fart and those unwanted bacteria ferment and produce gas in places that they shouldn’t.

Some of those 12 BAD FOODS contain gluten proteins and fried foods which inflame your small intestinal lining, which then has a very negative effect on your ability to absorb nutrients through the villi into your blood stream. In severe cases the villi actually die, because the surface area becomes so damaged from consistently eating damaging foods and creating an internal hostile environment for the small intestine. BUT, in most cases the villi have the ability to grow back, just like when you get a cut on your arm and it heals, the villi have the ability to regenerate IF you allow them to! Eliminating the foods from your eating patterns that harm you is an excellent place to start.

Protect your Fire Hose from the damaging foods, salt your food to taste (because, side note, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with high blood pressure!), and don’t worry about it! If you salt to much it won’t taste good that’s how you know, and if it doesn’t taste good you won’t eat it anyway, let’s be real.

Your “Fire Hose” will be protected and stay healthy if you follow these principles:

  1. Identify the foods that are harming you through a combination of a pulse test and food diary, logging your symptoms 24, 48, & 72 hours after you’ve eaten those individual foods.

  2. Allow time for yourself to identify this process.

  3. Eliminate those BAD FOODS & replace them with GOOD FOODS.

  4. Salt your food to taste because you now know it’s needed to make stomach acid.

  5. And remember - Your villi have the ability to regenerate themselves when you give them the opportunity to!
